We first discovered the beauty of the culture, people, and art of Mexico on our honeymoon in 1955. In particular, we were taken with both the Spanish Colonial art, and the whimsical Mexican Folk Art, the art of the people. We first became collectors of these wonderful objects, and then dealers, now in our 35th year.
We have been able to share our collection with several California Museums as well as the Mexican Retablo Painting, The Art of Private Devotion exhibit, which toured the U.S. We have exhibited and sold at Ethnographic Art Shows in California, Arizona, and Colorado, and for many years at the Whitehawk Ethnographic Show in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We count among our clients both focused collectors and casual buyers attracted to our eclectic choices.
Now we have come to the realization that our enthusiastic collecting has overwhelmed the space and size of our home. This gave us the incentive to develop our website.
In addition to our customary pieces that we take to shows, we have included Folk Art, and Rae’s Closet, which will contain different items from our traditional collection.
